Registered Dietician - PRN

Position Description

At Suncoast Hospice, the Registered Dietician recognizes and ensures that the dietary and nutritional needs of patients are met and are consistent with the patient’s plan of care and individual needs. In addition, the Registered Dietician provides nutritional counseling and education on a consultative basis to Hospice patients, families and Hospice patient care members.

The Registered Dietician will creatively assist Hospice patient care management in the development of client centered menus/meal preparation and delivery systems, and develop basic nutritional educational materials and programs for the Hospice patient care members.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:
1. A Bachelor's or advanced degree in dietetics or food/nutrition with completion of dietetic internship approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
2. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience in food service or clinical nutrition area in healthcare facility is needed along with registration by Commission of Dietetic Registration of ADA.
3. Prior Hospice experienced preferred.
