Pattye Sawyer is vice president of community health programs for Suncoast Hospice’s family of programs, which includes leading AIDS Service Association of Pinellas, Inc. (ASAP) as well as development and implementation of new and innovative programs for ASAP and Suncoast Hospice’s Elder Care Services division. Pattye also oversees Suncoast Hospice’s diversity initiatives including its Committee to Improve Cultural Awareness.

Pattye has nearly 20 years of experience working with Pinellas and Hillsborough communities in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and education. In 1998, she began working with The Hospice’s AIDS services groups, guiding the formation of the umbrella organization, ASAP. She later became director of HIV services at ASAP. Pattye also is a leader in aging services, and is a graduate of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) Leadership class. She has a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor of science in journalism from Ohio University.
