Jane Schafer

Vice President,

Admissions and Professional Relations

An innovative leader in the area of access to hospice programs and services. Jane is a member of several local, state and national hospice and palliative care and healthcare organizations. She has a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Sangamon.

Jane has just over 20 years of service at Suncoast Hospice, beginning as an admissions counselor, providing direct service and support to patients and families. She then became admissions coordinator, helping to develop the initial intake and admissions department and providing leadership of the department during a rapid growth period at Suncoast Hospice. Next, Jane became director of admissions and professional relations. Most recently she was promoted to vice president of admissions and professional relations, overseeing information and referral. She is dedicated to promoting access to the agency’s programs and services through her many outreach efforts.
