Every day is a gift. Every gift makes a difference. If you are among the area’s 900,000 residents who call the Florida Suncoast home, chances are that you, your family or someone you know has already benefited from services offered by Suncoast Hospice. Your gift to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation  will be used to support the mission and programs of Suncoast Hospice and its affiliated organizations. Your generosity provides quality care for patients and families facing
end-of-life issues. Our services are possible only through your willingness to give.

Financial Gifts

Nearly 90% of our financial resources directly benefit the patients and families we serve.Your monetary gift allows us to continue our existing programs and develop new services to fit the ever-growing needs of the community.

Making an online financial gift is the easiest and most expedient way to provide financial support. As a not-for-profit community hospice, your donation is tax deductible and can be recognized in a variety of ways:
  • A tribute gift in honor of or in memory of a loved one
  • Planned gifts—annuities or estate gifts, including bequests and trusts
  • Corporate sponsorship of a Suncoast Hospice special event or participation in our Corporate Matching Gifts program
  • Gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized with gift plaques displayed at a Suncoast Hospice community service center
  • Circle of Caring donations of $1,000 or more annually are recognized on the donor Wall of Honor
  • A naming opportunity through a gift of $25,000 or more are permanently commemorated by a library, room or center in honor of a loved one
  • Lifetime gifts totaling $25,000 or more are also permanently commemorated

Other Donations


Occassionally the needs of our patients and families extend beyond the scope of our hospice services to basic necessities. Consider supporting your community hospice by:

Donating food to one of our food pantries
 
Some of the patients and families we serve require more than hospice care. Some may require basic necessities, too. Suncoast Hospice employees and volunteers support local food pantries that provide food and basic household items to patients and families who need them.  These pantries include:
  • The Alfred T. May Food & Personal Needs Pantry
  • The pantry at the AIDS Association of Pinellas, Inc. (ASAP)

Donating gently-used household items to our resale shoppes
 
Our patients and families benefit from each sale made at our three resale shoppes located throughout Pinellas County. Proceeds help pay for the programs and services of those we serve.

Shoppers often find gems such as designer and never-worn clothing, vintage jewelry, furniture and top-notch holiday decorations. We depend on volunteers to staff our Resale Shoppes, which is an excellent volunteer opportunity for those wanting to donate their time to Suncoast Hospice.

Donations are accepted at each of our shoppes. If you have larger items to donate, please call the store you wish to make a donation to - listed in the read more section above and we’ll come and pick the item(s) up for you.


Donating books to our community libraries that benefit patients, families, caregivers or that deal with end-of-life, grief, healing or spirituality.

Suncoast Hospice touches the lives of thousands of patients and families throughout Pinellas County each year. It’s likely that one of your employees has been touched in some way by our services.

Special Event Sponsorships

Suncoast Hospice has a variety of annual fundraising events your company can participate in through sponsorship or by volunteering. Events include the Suncoast Hospice Ball, Suncoast Hospice Fashion Show and Boutique Luncheon,  Suncoast Hospice Beach Stroll, Suncoast Hospice Golf Classic and more.

In-Kind Donations

We accept donations of furniture, office supplies, clothing and housewares.  When you donate items to Suncoast Hospice, your gift is tax-deductible.

Corporate Matching Gift Program

Matching your employees’ contributions is a generous way to support the mission and goals of Suncoast Hospice. If your company participates in our corporate matching gift program, your employees need only check the box found on our online gift form when making their donations.

Corporate Foundation Grants

Suncoast Hospice depends on grants to support un-reimbursed care such as our children’s hospice services, bereavement support and other community programs.  Consider enhancing your corporate contributions by advocating on Suncoast Hospice’s behalf as we seek funds from affiliate corporate foundations on local and national levels.

Become a Volunteer

Encourage your employees or co-workers to get involved with Suncoast Hospice by volunteering. We have many volunteer opportunities, from helping with an event to coordinating a fundraiser to collecting food for our food pantries. Or you may want to encourage participation on a group level. Consider organizing a group of friends and co-workers to walk in the Suncoast Hospice Beach Stroll or shop together at one of our Resale Shoppes.



Events


Suncoast Hospice sponsors several special events throughout the year. Each of our community events raise funds that benefit the Suncoast Hospice family of programs and allow us to continue serving patients and families.
